Outstanding Accompanist
Outstanding Accompanist (OA) auditions... are held to recognize those students who contribute significantly to the choral programs of the state by demonstrating outstanding choral accompanying. Candidates must be able to play the accompaniments and vocal parts for the music of an All-State choir and follow a director. A state winner will be chosen for each All-State choir (for which there is a qualified auditionee). District and State OA winners are honored at the All-State Concert.
District Performance Assessment Checklist:
1 "Must Know" Info: Print and study P9 for specific information regarding the Outstanding Accompanist auditions.
2 Registration: Mail your Outstanding Accompanist Registration Packet by the deadline to the District Chair (see deadline and address below). Include these items in your registration packet:
- Outstanding Accompanist Registration Form F18 or fillable PDF F18
- school check or signed school Purchase Order
- a copy of your MENC card
- Please add a $50.00 late fee if mailing after the deadline.
3 District Performance Assessment : District Chairs will contact directors with schedule information after they receive the complete District application and schedule all of the District choirs. Directors need to present the following when they register at the District site:
- 3 copies of the F12 Performance Assessment Adjudication form for EACH CHOIR, with your info complete at the top of each form
- 1 copy of the F13 Performance Assessment Sight-Reading Adjudication form for EACH CHOIR, with your info complete at the top of each form
- 3 clean, original copies of each music selection with measures numbered for the judges

- Audition Fee per student: $10.00
- School Audition Application Fee: $40.00

Bring to the audition:
- two copies of a resume packet with F19 as the cover page for each packet
- a copy of each piece of All-State music for the choir for which you are auditioning (NO PHOTOCOPIES)
District winners:
- will be notified by the District Chairman within a day after the audition
- must be available to play warm-ups at the All-State auditions
- will undergo the same audition/interview process at the State Level during All-State Festival on February 28, 2007
- will provide seven complete resume packets for the State OCS audition/interview (including the three used for the District audition)
State winners:
- will receive notification that they have won during the All-State Festival
- may be selected to play on the All-State concert
