• have taught choral music in Alabama schools for 15 years or more,
• have established and/or maintained a choral program that is recognized as one of quality and high standards,
• have actively participated in events sponsored by the Alabama Vocal Association, and
• have made contributions to the Alabama Vocal Association with positive support and encouragement.

AVA members may nominate a fellow choral director... for this award by submitting AVA Form F30 or a written nomination by January 31st to the AVA President.

Frances P. Moss Award winners...

• will be selected by AVA Board vote at the January board meeting on nominations that have been submitted by the deadline.
• will be recognized at the All-State Concert.
• may, but does not necessarily have to, be selected each year.

The Frances P. Moss Award will be in the form of a plaque... in honor of Dr. Frances P. Moss for her many contributions to elevating the art of choral music in the State of Alabama.
